Are There Still Benefits of Buying a Home Before 2024?

The short answer is yes. I’ll give you three benefits of still buying a home before 2024, even with higher interest rates.


1. Homes are appraising very close to their actual value. This is important because this number is what real estate professionals and sellers use to help them price their home on the market.

2. Sellars are more likely to price homes accordingly. They know that buyers are seeking homes that they can afford. With higher interest rates, buyers can’t afford as much house as they would be able to at a lower interest rate. Therefore, sellers need to be competitive with pricing and willing to negotiate.

3. The buyer’s pool is smaller, meaning there is less competition. This tends to give buyers more time to view available homes, put in offers and negotiate deals.

Bottom line, there are always benefits to buying a home, in all market conditions. This is a great time for both buyers and sellers to work together to craft deals that are extremely beneficial for both parties.
